No diré que Summoning es el único grupo ni el primero que basa su obra en la de Tolkien porque no lo es, pero puedo asegurar que lo hace muy bien con su estilo propio, ya que no es un black metal ordinario, tiende a un sonido épico y atmosférico, incluso tiene algo de darkwave, con guitarras, sintetizadores, teclados y todos esos sonidos que lo hacen sonar rebien.
Pongo la canción final del disco Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame, donde al principio puede escucharse a quien supongo es Morgoth/Melkor (o Sauron) haciendo alarde de su poder, y en los coros se escucha a quienes van a luchar contra estas fuerzas,
